Teak Favel-Lagowski

Teak was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario and has been a lifelong resident. A proud grandfather of 6 and a teacher by trade, Teak fully understands the value of providing all children with equal access to life’s most fundamental necessities. Being a part of a First Nation family and having worked in Indigenous child welfare, he has developed an appreciation for the importance of Anishinabek culture, practices and traditions. Teak is an avid music and film lover and enjoys spending his downtime with his husband and their ever-growing family. He looks forward to being a part of the Mikinakoos team for years to come and helping to better the lives of First Nations children and families in remote communities in Northwestern Ontario.
