Celebrating the Incredible Support of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

With gratitude

Mikinakoos Children's Fund is honoured to recognize the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) for their outstanding generosity and partnership. Through their annual charity raffle, CPSO staff raised an incredible $30,000 in support of First Nations children across Northwestern Ontario. Their commitment goes far beyond financial support as their team has also organized a Broomball donation drive and are currently holding a holiday toy drive to ensure children in remote communities feel joy and warmth this season.

How this gift helps children in the North

The CPSO's multi-faceted approach to fundraising and support of Mikinakoos has led to many incredible results. Their support:

  • Strengthens our core programs, including food security, warm clothing, and healthy living initiatives.
  • Helps deliver essential items to remote and fly-in communities where access is limited.
  • Brings holiday gifts and comfort to children who may otherwise go without.
"CPSO has shown extraordinary compassion for First Nations children. Their fundraising, advocacy, and hands-on support are making a real difference in the lives of families across the North. We are deeply grateful for this partnership." — Stephanie Paxton, Executive Director Mikinakoos Children's Fund

Why This Matters

Support like this fuels our mission from every angle — meeting immediate needs, amplifying awareness, and bringing communities together. The CPSO has not only invested in our programs but has used their platform to elevate the voices and experiences of northern First Nations children. Their upcoming toy drive will bring joy to families during the holidays, while the funds raised will support long-term impact throughout the year.
